Very dissapointing product regardless of price paid
I was excited to recieve the ici magnum rt side steps and was told they were manufacturing them from factory as they were out. Ok i get it. Thats fine i can wait i thought. Then they show up . I open the box and to my dismay the directions are questionable at best. I then decide everyone posts on you tube so i will watch on there. I find a video of a 2017 install, same as mine and it does not show reinforcement bracket on drivers side. They had removed the bracket as it interferes with mounting btacket provided in kit. They did not explain this removal or why. So i was left more confused than before watching. I finally decided i would fabricaye bracket as i have worked with steel my entire life. Modified ici bracket to fit without removal of safety reinforcement drivers side impact bracket which was a major hassle. I installed all of the mounting brackets and then installed side steps only to discover when adjusted up to pinch weld on cab the bottom of the mounting brackets stuck out past side steps. Are you kidding me? So now i will have to mark them and pull side steps and proceed to cut the excess and then reinforce them as they ate already flexing more than i would have expected. In watching video they must have used an extreme modified heavy duty version as the whole truck moved when stepping on these steps. This is not the reality of what you can expect. Simply put, thete is a lot of flex. I am 200 pounds and would have expected more rigidity especially after watching video. They have the potential to b great side steps but expect to have to make changes on the 2017 and newer ram 1500. Just a side note. I would never remove a safety bracket for front and side impact to protect drivers legs so expect to modify one of the mounting brackets.

Dodge Ram 1500 -2017
Representative was good
I ordered a set of Black powder coated Magnum Steps for my 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I received the step about a week after purchase and didn’t install them for about 5 days because of schedule. I made a mistake of opening the box and just starting the install without inspecting the parts. I started on the rear bracket passenger side and moved forward on the truck. Then I moved to the drivers side and did the same. When I got to the front bracket on the drivers side it wouldn’t fit because of two cab mount bolts. Since I had the passenger side done and all but one bracket on the drivers side I decided to modify the bracket to fit. After dealing with that I got the board up and mounted and noticed a big gouge-scratch in the front step. I did this on the weekend after hours so I had to wait until Monday to speak with someone about a replacement board. So in my infimate wisdom I undercoated all the brackets. Also in a side note there is a bracket that anchors to the pinchweld that made me nervous about cracking the paint and eventually getting rust so I undercoated the bolt on both sides.
So on Monday I got in touch with a service rep and explained what I did and what I found. She at first said that she would replace the board. Then she said that I had to return all the brackets and boards to get a replacement. After practically begging to just send one board to replace the damaged board she asked if I wanted to talk to a manager about my problem. Couldn’t hurt so I said yes. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back on the phone and told me that they were going to send me a new kit and to destroy the old board and leftover material. I couldn’t have been happier. I have yet to open the new box and inspect the step to assure it isn’t damaged, but one can only hope that it isn’t.
So besides the scratch and bracket problem these boards are awesome. I have a set on my 2016 Tundra.
