Customer Questions & Answers

Have a question about this product? Let one of our experts answer it for you!

We will respond with an answer ASAP.

Question:
will this airbag fit with a 5th wheel hitch in truck
Answer:
Yes. This model mounts to the underside of the frame, allowing the fifth wheel and goose neck hitches to be installed as well as these bags.
Question:
Will these work with a 2" rear lift (blocks) on an 07 Tundra?
Answer:
Yes they will work, but you will also have to get 2" air bag spacers. Our part # is 20001 for the air bag spacers used with vehicles that has a 2" lift in the rear.
Question:
I have a 2014 Toyota Tundra and want to install the Ride-Right air-bags. The fram has a bracket for the bump stop to hit. Does that bracket need to be cut off? Instructions don't show this bracket.
Answer:
Figure B in the instructions tells you to remove the jounce bumper by cutting them off as close to the bracket as possible.

So Far So good
The system has only been on for a month so it is to early to tell. The real test is in a couple of week when the truck and trailer are on the road for three weeks. The instruction are fairly easy to install. the instructions are 90 percent accurate. A tool list would have been nice to have. You need a 15/16 wrench or socket. This is not a standard size in most tool boxes. On the 2017 Tundra, you have to move the ABS control/sensor wire to make clearance for the brackets. Unsnap the plastic clip and move it on the other side of the bracket. This requires you to unbolt the brake line from a bracket to slide the wire to the other side. I snapped one of the mounting bolts. The are 360 carriage bolts. 360 is not even grade 2 standard. The bolt will not stay in the box hole when tightening the nut. I would have preferred a grade 5 hex head bolt. I could have put a wrench on the bolt. The airlines leak at first. It is hard to seed them after the fittings a installed. Make sure to give the line a tug to seed it. One of my Shrader valves leaked. Fortunately I put a Tee valve it and had the spare. My concern is the system maintaining pressure for the weeks in between hauling the trailer. The system did have some pressure after two weeks. AS I said. We will see after the upcoming trip.

Easy install, excellent kit
By doing this myself I saved half the cost of having a local store install these and it was easy to do. I was in no hurry, was lazy about it, and still got done in 2 hours.

Best price, fast delivery, quality product.
Original mirrors were wired for heat and aiming but did not have turn indicators on them. Heat, aiming and turn indicators on these new mirrors worked well, no mods required.

Worth the money
I installed this myself on a 2010 Tundra and it wasn't that hard. I took my time because I am not comfortable with these kind of things and it took me 2 hours. Remove the tires and drop the spare to make it easier. The install video, nor the instructions, talk much about the relocation of the part (brake control?) along the driver side frame. I used the supplied bolts/lock washer and washers that were supplied, although it doesn't say to, because the bolts fit and weren't for anything else.

Great product and easy to install.
I have installed three sets of these systems now and each of them was not hard to install and the one set is used daily and is hauling a load of some sort. But last pair in but on was on my own truck for pulling a new camper that we just bought and what a difference between with them and without them I love them and what a big diffence in the pull and the ride. Great stuff!!

Great Ride, better than Air Lift
These arrived quickly and in great shape. Originally purchased the Air Lift Ultimate, but they made the rear end ride really rough with an empty bed due to the internal bump stop. Returned the Air Lift bags and ordered this Firestone kit. Could not be happier, does not effect the ride the ride quality, but gives support when you need it. Works great with the Air Lift #72000 wireless air controller!

this kit makes it easy
going into this kit i was a little skeptical at first, but after the install and being able to try it out myself on my 2013 Toyota Tundra I realized it was well worth the money. The air bags make a huge difference, it gives you a great ride. personally i dont own a trailer, i just bought the kit for a more smooth ride, and im not disappointed..

great for towing long trailers
I tow a 31' camper trailer, i know my tuck has been sagging for a while but i never realized how much better the ride is when its not sagging, these air bags solved that problem, and well. The installation took me a little bit longer than 2 hours. The kit overall is great for towing and just for the ride.
