tire size

2005 1500
Perfect for keeping factory ride, plenty of room left for alignment
I had a shop do it but they only had one hour into it and said it was a breeze to install.
This is the way to go, don't crank the torsion bars up you will regret it and may end up not having a proper alignment but with these you will..
This route leaves your front about 1" lower when I measured which is what you want anyway, This ended up leveling my truck from 3.5" lower in the front to 1" lower in the front it steers better and my lights shine out farther which is another plus in deer country.
My 2004 Silverado 1500 LS 4x4 had 245/75R/16 tires and I could have went with 285/75R/16 tires had I wanted that's how much room I have left after the level.
I went with 265/75R/16 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires they are E rated and make very little noise.
I recommend getting the bilstein 5100 shocks 2" longer it will ride even better which is what I did and love it.
This combination along with hellwig 2500lb helper springs and it tows and handles like a dream.

200,000 mile suburban drives better than new
Just because of the nature of the beast, was a more than average amount of work to install. I made a duplicate of a key depressor I saw on line in my machine shop and was glad I did. There is a lot of pressure to overcome with just standard tools i.e. c-clamp or gear puller. Would be dangerous to use those. Once installed and the suspension aligned, the Suburban drives better than new. Should have done this 100,000 miles ago or earlier. The lower A arms are now off of the rubber bumpers on the frame and therefore we have a much smoother ride and the large bumps are dampened without transferring a jarring shock through the frame anymore. Looks much better too.
