Don't cut and splice! Connect your trailers electrical to your vehicle easily with Curt custom fit wiring harnesses.
What is a trailer wiring kit?
A trailer wiring kit is designed to connect the electrical wiring on your vehicle to your trailer without the need to cut and splice wires. Most vehicles have an electrical connection point near the rear of the vehicle that can easily be unplugged. The trailer wiring kit simply uses a T-connector that inserts between the two factory plugs. Once installed your trailers tail-lights will be synced with your vehicles tail-lights and provide a standard 4 wire flat connection. Built-in converters are pre-wired into applications that require taillight conversion.
What if my Trailer has not have a 4 wire flat connection?
While the 4 wire flat connection is the most common type of trailer connector, not all trailers use them. 5 wire, 6 wire and 7 wire are also common. For those applications adaptors are available to convert the wiring harnesses to also work with other types of trailer connectors.
